Extra Credit Options & Retake Details

Several students and parents have been asking about extra credit options as well as clarification of the retake.  Allow me to set the record straight:

EXTRA CREDIT OPTIONS

1)  Tissue Paper or Kleenex.  We're heading into cold season and the school district no longer supplies classrooms with these important, basic items.  So in an effort to make our learning community hygienic and comfortable, students may bring in a box or two for 5 points extra credit maximum.

2) Holocaust Museum Write-Up.   After reading Anne Frank, as an extension and enrichment activity if anyone had gone in the last 6 months or goes to the museum and writes up a paragraph on the experience, they may bet 10 points of extra credit.

3) The Birberry Awards.  Students may participate in the Birberry Awards here at school and get 5 points for each book they complete with passed quizzes.  The documentation must from our media center specialist.


GRAMMAR TEST RETAKE

Students may take the retake with a parent signature on their post test as well as a completed study packet on Flex Fridays or by appointment during lunch or rec.  The retake grade is capped at 85%, or a B.
