Complex Sentences and Comma Usage Tip
When you have a dependent clause followed by an independent clause, you will almost always have a comma between them.

Before I went fishing, my dad bought pizza.
But when you have an independent clause followed by a dependent clause, you will almost always NOT have a comma between them.
IC, DC
My dad bought pizza before I went fishing.
