*** Extra Credit Opportunity ***

Several students have inquired about extra credit opportunities between now and the remainder of the year.  Here's the final one -- but only for a dedicated few.

We're passing back the CERS Final Exam argument essay on the Greek myth, Narcissus, Friday and Monday.

As an option, students may log onto Criterion and revise their essays according to feedback they received, the examples in the brochure, and according to the check-bric.  There will also be examples of student's "A" papers copied and pasted on this blog later.

If a student revises their CERS and addresses the documented concerns, they may print out a copy of the revision and bring it along with their original marked up copy and the graded check-bric to Room 220 during REC period on Monday through Friday of next week.

The first three students in line who are prepared will then meet during REC with Mr. Chappell in the media center to discuss the changes they made for a maximum possible extra credit points of 20.

This opportunity encourages the value of rewriting as well as conferring, one of the most powerful tools for teaching writing.

Good luck!
