This Week's Agenda

A QUICK NOTE TO PARENTS

We're trying something new today.  Because of time restraints, I haven't been keeping Planbook.com up to date as I usually have done during Flex Fridays.  If you noticed on Powerschool there has been several recently-graded tests that have required my time, as well as students needing extra support.   

While communication with parents is always important, the students who are at my desk always come first.  

So here is a new idea.  With the Blogger app I can take a picture of the week's agenda that is posted on the white board for students every week.  

This agenda is tentative because some lessons might take longer, sometimes substitute teachers are required for unplanned illnesses, we have fire drills, and pop quizzes, etc etc..  But this weekly agenda is a good indicator of what we did or will do in class each day.

I make a note, when appropriate, of upcoming tests, papers, or projects that are coming up.  For example, on the Friday section in the photo it mentions that the Quizlet test for SAT vocabulary words for The Outsiders is on next Monday.

Also a reminder:  every day we have class the minimal homework for students is to read a choice novel 30 minutes and document that reading through the reader logs.  

I sincerely hope that this system proves to be un-encumbering and valuable for all stake holders.
