Part 3, Chapter 11
1. How has war changed the music program in schools? Use textual evidence to support your answer.
2. How did Mr. Daniels stand up for Ivy?
3. “Susan seemed to have everything, except a friend” (472). Why do you think this is true? Do you think Susan is missing other things in her life?
Part 3, Chapter 12
4. Fernando wrote in his letter: “Loose Lips Sink Ships” (474). What does this mean and how has this impacted the way he communicates with his family?

Parent Teacher Conferences
Greetings Parents!
I will be present during tonight's (Wednesday's) Parent Teacher Conferences at Derby along with all of our other amazing teachers from 4 pm to 7 pm.
However, on Thursday evening I will not be available due to extenuating circumstances beyond my control.
To compensate for the lost time on Thursday, I will make myself available on Monday (3/19/18) in my Room 205 from 6 pm to 9 pm. Please don't hesitate to come by at that time.
